Jol's Life Reports

Graduated highschool IB program and went on vacation to see family in Puerto Rico before starting my application process for SCF. I knew i wanted to get into a program but i was unsure which one, so for the first semester i did general classes to focus on an AA degree. It still felt weird that I was a graduate now, all those years in highschool were finally over and it took a while to fully process the fact that I was now going into college.

First semester taking general classes. I took 4 classes and the main one of interest for me was Computer Programming. This class was the main focus for me due to it being a focus on what was related to what I want to do alongside my love for art, so I made sure to do my best in that class alongside my other subjects. First semester was a bit rough getting used to the new college work but i had already dealt with the amount of stuff the IB program gave to me in highschool, so college work was not as bad. My grades for my classes were decent, doing the best in Computer Programming.

Second Semester started and i continued with my general classes. In the background I was also looking into artwork based stuff and other colleges that focused on that, like Ringling. For this semester i only did 3 classes so i could handle myself a bit better. I wanted to also do computer programming 2 but was unable to register in time, so i took normal classes while searching on artwork stuff.

Now with the third semester that is when things change. Due to the focus I want to go for, I changed from an AA program to an AS program, and went into solely computer programming classes. Now with a clear focus in mind i was able to use this to fully delve into the program. Thankfully the general classes still counted for credit alongside my high school IB classes. One of these classes was web page development, and with this, i had the perfect opportunity to include my art related stuff into a class, alongside helping myself for the future if I want to go for an art career.
